The CV-22B is equipped with an AN/APQ-186 Multi-Mode Radar (MMR) that has a Terrain Following/Terrain Avoidance (TF/TA) capability, and an AN/AAQ-27A Mid-Wavelength Infra-Red (MWIR) Staring sensor.

The glass dome prevents the hot Landing Light from setting tall grass on fire when the Osprey sets down in austere LZ’s.
