UK Helicopter Emergency Medical Service
The North West Air Ambulance Charity flies life saving missions throughout the North West region seven days a week, 365 days a year. This life saving service covers 5,500 square miles and a residential population of almost eight million people. The charity is the first air ambulance service outside of London to operate from hospital helipads. It costs in excess of £4 million each year to keep this vital service operational and saving lives.
